At 4 years old

It's been very long since my last update. I have been so busy with my new job now, and I have neglected my blog. I shall just keep to my objective of updating Ziyi's progress, lest all these precious memories will be forgotten few years down the road.

She has just celebrated her 4 years birthday bash at KizSports & Gym, Empire Subang. She had a great time and I have no regrets for celebrating this for her at 4 and not when she was 3! She has grown up so much and appreciate it better.

At 4, she can now dress herself up, including her own t-shirts/blouses. She was only capable of wearing her bottoms previously, but now she is so proud of showing off her skill at wearing her own tops!

She is so much more obedient now, compared to...hmm, when she was around 1+ to 3+ years old. Gosh, those days were terrible!

Every morning, she will pee, brush her teeth, gargle, wash her face and dress up all by herself! I only need to ensure she does it in a faster manner, else I will be late for work!

Food wise, she is still a lil' bit fussy but overall, she eats almost everything, including vegetables and meat. Spaghetti has became her favorite food now, just like me! My Cinaman daughter is slowly becoming more angmoh. LOL! One not so good change about her is that she dislikes most fruits served to her, unlike her younger days. She doesn't mind banana, papaya, pineapple, watermelon and yellow kiwifruit. The rest will have to force-feed.

My once clingy daughter is not so clingy anymore. With my hectic schedule, I don't have the luxury of picking her up from school in the evening anymore. She would play and eat her snacks at home without me around in the evening, and once in a while she would still bug me to bring her out to the park before dinner. Her dinner is served later in the evening after I reach home from work.

I shall update her performance in school in the next post. Stay tuned!

My 33rd Birthday Dinner

I still have many posts sitting in my draft folder. This post is way overdue. Supposed to post this in Dec 2011 but I have forgotten about it.

Anyway, hubby brought me for a nice dinner to celebrate my 33rd Birthday. It was supposed to be just the 2 of us but he suggested bringing Ziyi along, there goes my romantic dinner. LOL!

We went to Maria's Cafe & Restaurant at Damansara Perdana. I read a few good reviews on their food so I thought of trying it out and the price was pretty reasonable too.

We started off with the Caesar Salad and Mushroom Soup. I wanted to try their Oxtail Soup but it was not available on that day. So sad. Nevertheless, the mushroom soup was pretty good too.

My main course - Braised Leg of Lamb. This was quite disappointing. The meat was not tender enough.

Hubby ordered Australian Ribeye Steak, medium well done. It was well-marinated and the meat was juicy too.

My pot of Camomile Tea and a cup of coffee for him (not in the picture).

My Tiramisu. This is oh-so-heavenly. One of the best I've tried so far. We requested for a candle so that Ziyi could blow it with me.

Another sinful dessert. Moist Chocolate Cake with Movenpick ice-cream to share. Yummylicious!

A family picture finally. Love this pic so much! Especially when Ziyi could sit still and smiled for the camera.

The ambience and deco are pretty simple and nice. We will definitely be coming back again, especially for their Tiramisu.

Ziyi's 3rd Birthday

ziyi celebrated her 3rd birthday last month end. this year we did not throw a big party for Ziyi. mummy is too lazy to plan anything. we went back to Seremban for a small celebration with my mom and grandma.  we had high tea at The Royale Bintang Hotel but to be honest, the food there is not up to my expectation. well, we didn't have much choices as this is the "best" hotel available in Seremban.

durian feast on the day of our arrival...yums!

ziyi likes them too

she has always been very obsessed with horses since young. so she specifically asked for a horse cake and so i ordered this jelly cake from the lady in Tmn Desa. RM60 for this jelly cake.

the excited birthday girl. we did the cake cutting at home.

she proudly asked for 3 candles and announced that she's 3 years old!

at the coffee house, she was busy running around, hugging pillars (another weird obsession) and kept saying she wanted to swim in the pool.

when we came back to KL, she had another round of candle blowing session, together with her dad.  that's because their birthdays are only 2 days apart. this time i baked some chocolate cupcakes with chocolate ganache, topped with Dora edible images.

Happy happy birthday to my darlings......Ziyi and Hubby!

mum's birthday

*this is a back-dated post*

mum’s birthday fell on a weekday, so we had an early celebration for her on a Saturday. It was just a simple dinner with family friends & relatives. we drove back to seremban on Saturday afternoon and went off to tampin in the evening to meet my uncle’s family for dinner.

we had dinner at Kam Yin Poh restaurant in Taman Indah, Tampin. the food was good and the bill only came up to rm140+ for 11 adults! pretty cheap eh...

i wanna go out ma-ma!

dad-dy start the car, lets go!

i'm sooo hungry i can eat the table cloth

then came the cake cutting celebration! I made this cake myself; it was a non-baked chilled lemon cheesecake. tadaa....
Warning: the cake may look ugly, but it tasted very good!

Happy birthday to you again, mum!
